The NY Center for Dairy Excellence, a program of the NY Farm Viability Institute, facilitates a more unified, goal-oriented dairy sector, characterized by collaboration throughout the state’s dairy farming industry. Project work and activities promote profitability at the farm level.
Risk Management Education for Dairy Farmers Risk management workshops – coordinated by the NY Center for Dairy Excellence and funded by the NY Farm Viability Institute – are being offered across the state this winter to help dairy farmers better deal with price instability and improve their bottom line.
The free program,
“Managing the Margin” focuses on available risk management tools and strategies in an effort to help farmers build long-term viability for their dairy enterprises by guarding against declining milk prices and increasing feed costs.
